‘Frameless Graphics’ by Evgenia Vasilchenko

An exhibition of Cherkasy artist and poetess Evgenia Vasilchenko was presented at the Cherkasy Regional Art Museum on November 27. It presents 24 graphic works of different years, both ancient and recently created. Her collection also includes exhibitions in Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. Evgenia Vasilchenko began her career by creating illustrations for famous poetic works, and later she began to write white poems and make illustrations to them. In total, her work includes several hundred graphic illustrations and caricatures. In this exhibition, each graphic sheet of the artist is accompanied by her own poetic lines. Evgenia Vasilchenko’s works are black and white, but in combination with poetry they convey the colorful world of the author’s philosophical thoughts and feelings. If visitors can get to the exhibition for three weeks, they will have a unique opportunity not only to delve into the philosophy of works of art, but also to enjoy poetic lines in the style of Japanese poetry.
