‘21st Century Mood’

On November 30, at 16:00, the ‘Ye’ Cultural and Art Center invites you to the opening of the exhibition of Kyiv artist Evgenia Vasilchenko ‘Mood of the XXI Century’, which will take place on the 5th floor.

After graduating from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in design engineering of optical and optoelectronic devices, Evgenia Vasilchenko tore up all her notes. And – began to draw. Many works have already accumulated on her home shelf: graphics, watercolors, collages, cartoons and handmade postcards. She does not give names to her works, because she believes that everyone still chooses their words. It will be possible to appreciate the advantages of such an approach and get into the world of the artist at the personal exhibition of graphic works by Evgenia Vasilchenko ‘Mood of the XXI Century’.

‘Evgenia Vasilchenko’s drawings come as reflection of her dreams, her extraordinary vision. They are metaphysical images, in which sensations transform into symbols. The space is not somewhere far in her drawings, it is here beside, it starts from some ordinary detail, a forgotten childhood experience or after staring out the window.

Then another window swings open, a window to a different world, a world where one can spread the arms, travel meditatively, explore and share the impressions by artistic imagination and magic. That is what Eugenia did, rather convincingly and powerfully, as I see it.’ (Konstantin Rylev)

Exhibition duration: November 30 – December 20. Free entrance
