Biography
“When you grow up surrounded by love and human attitude towards each other, you remain open and, apparently, in some way a naive person” – considers Evgeniya Vasilchenko.
After graduating from a technical university where she became fascinated with Japan (Basho… Hokusai…), she began to master this world from a blank sheet, and, in order not to get lost in it, there was a desire to make a series of graphic works like Escher or Goya. Then came the white poems and the idea to combine the graphics with the words in the book.
The “black and white period” of the artist has not ended, but she is increasingly using color in graphics and continues to experiment with the materials she has chosen.
